I grew up in a small South Carolina town, but I've covered a lot of ground since then; I've lived in 10 states and have visited all 50.
All those changes of address helped this small-town girl become more open to change and forced me to focus on what's truly important. My relationship with Jesus Christ tops my short list of serious things.  It is fundamental to everything I do.  He makes optimism possible, because He brings meaning to this life and will walk with me into the next.
